I don’t often toot the horn of prepared or packaged food, but I have to tell you I have a longstanding love affair with Eden Organic. They make healthy food really easy.

I want to tell you about them in case you don’t know about them, or haven’t checked out their recipes online. But, just a warning, this blog is going to sound like an unabashed ad for Eden Organic. What can I say, I’m enthusiastic about good food (and so are they!).

Eden Organic is a natural food company. They’ve been independently owned for 40 years, and they’re food is of the highest quality. Eden Organic is great for busy moms, well actually any busy person. They have high quality staples and their prepared foods are made without additives or sugar – done for you and done well.

• If I haven’t soaked and cooked my own beans, I reach for Eden beans, because they use Kombu (a seaweed that makes beans more digestible) in their preparation. If I want to make burritos in a hurry, I use their Caribbean Black Beans – spiced just right for kids and adults alike.

• Their cans are BPA free and their tomatoes are available packed in glass.

• We use their 100% buckwheat soba noodles – these are great for the gluten-intolerant among us.

• I’m also a huge fan of sprinkling seaweed wherever I can. Eden’s Wakame Instant Flakes and Toasted Nori Sprinkles are wonderful in soups or on salad or rice.

• They have oodles of other great products worth checking out. Their Marinara sauce has no added sugar, they make Barley Malt a versatile natural sweetener. The list goes on…
